Signature Hale O Kauka Healing Retreat to Maui March 22-28, 2022

Join Jen for 6 nights on the island that some have identified as the heart chakra of Mother Earth.   Maui is a magical place, where all of the elements collide and the heart of nature is easily accessed.  It is a mecca for travelers year after year.

Jen first visited this sacred place over 15 years ago and she immediately felt the energy of the earth ground her root chakra – this place would become a transformational homecoming place for Jen and the location of her signature retreat at Hale O Kauka Healing Garden.  

The goal of this retreat is to quiet our minds and connect to our inner selves in a way that allows us to peel back the hustle and bustle of our usual lives so that we can connect more deeply with nature and attune to our own energy flow that promotes health and well being.  Our infrared sauna and jacuzzi are available to book at various times throughout the week. 

Day 1(Tuesday) Arrive

When you arrive to the island you will be greeted by the thick aroma of flower essences in the air.  After collecting your luggage – you’ll be picked up by our driver curbside.  

Upon arrival to Hale O Kauka Healing Garden a lei of flowers will be placed around your neck.  You’ll be welcomed warmly and helped with your luggage.  A cup of tea, local organic raw honey and a lite snack made from the avocodos and fruits grown on the property will await you.  As each guest arrives we will acquaint you with the space and provide time to settle in. 

At sunset we will enjoy a simple and delicious dinner followed by an overview of our retreat space, house rules and begin our time together by sharing what brought us together and journaling an intention for the retreat.  We will drop our mobile phones and devices into the metaphorical sea and retire for the evening.

Day 2 (Wednesday) Earth

5:30 a.m. We will arise before the sun on the 2nd day and journey up the side of Haleakala a dormant volcano where we will sit in silent meditation at a place high enough to watch as the sun rises over the horizon.  

Back at Hale O Kauka Healing Garden we will harvest fruits and avacado from the garden and enjoy a simple Brunch and some free time for relaxing, booking time in the infrared sauna, jacuzzi or working in the pottery studio. 

Mid afternoon we will enjoy avocado leaf tea and snacks and a silent labyrinth walk and contemplation.  We will then reflect on our morning through a veil painting watercolor art experience.   

A simple and delicous dinner will be followed by a chakra activation workshop and evening meditation.  

Day 3 (Thursday) Water

Rise with the sun for yoga and meditation followed by a simple breakfast. 

Enjoy the long road to Hana where we will stop along the way to enjoy waterfalls and walks into the jungle to soak in the etheric energy of the Nature Elementals.

Arrive at the black sand beach near Hana for a swim or hike and commune with the local mermaids who are especially present in the lava rock caves.  We will enjoy picnic lunch and meditation on the cliffs overlooking the magnificent sapphire blue sea.

We will travel back on the road to Hana to arrive at our retreat space to enjoy a simple dinner and talk about our sacred relationship with living water and close our day with evening meditation.  Time to add a layer to our watercolor veil painting will be abundant.  

Day 4 (Friday) Fire

Just after sunrise, we will begin our day with yoga, meditation and a simple breakfast.   

The morning activities will include working contemplation with the options of spending time in our pottery studio, working in the gardens or helping with housework or cooking.

After a simple lunch, you will have the option of booking mid-afternoon spa treatments at the Temple of Peace Spa or remain on-site for massage therapy, infrared sauna time or a reiki healing session.  We will also add a layer to our watercolor veil paintings.

A dinner by the light of tiki torches  and camp fire followed by an introduction to dyad meditation and practice into the evening will round out the day. 

Day 5 (Saturday) Air

After sunrise, we will begin our day with yoga, meditation and a simple breakfast.

We will make our way to the beach for a day of snorkeling and sunbathing or lounging in the shade of the trees and enjoying a picnic lunch.  Lunch may be prepaired at Hale O Kauka or picked up from one of the local restaurants in Paia at your own cost.  

We return to Hale O Kauka Healing Garden for afternoon tea and free time to work in the pottery studio, journal or read.  If the veil painting call, we may add another layer.  The afternoon will hold time for individual astrology readings.  (you will receive a personalized astrology and numerolgy report in electronic form).

After a simple dinner we will gather for a Crystal Bowl Sound Bath and evening meditation.

Day 6 (Sunday) Unity

We will sleep in and slowly begin our day with yoga, meditation and a simple breakfast

We will have a choice of several local church services to attend mid-morning including Unity Maui, Temple of Peace, a Hawaiian language service or time in our meditation gardens.

Lunch will be provided at a location TBD in the afternoon followed by a hike into the Iao valley and walking meditation at Kepaniwai Park Heritage Gardens. Massage therapy appointments will be available in the late afternoon.  

We will end our day with a final sunset gathered at the beach for a bbq style dinner with star gazing and a campfire while we reflect on our time together – revisiting our intentions for the retreat before preparing for our journey back to the land of chopping wood and carrying water.  

Day 7 (Monday) Release

A simple breakfast will be provided before we embark on one last drive along the Maui highways to the airport.

We will arrive at the Kahului airport, take our last breaths of flower drenched air and begin our journey back to the mainland.

Fee:  $2,105. includes all local transportation, meals, shared accomodations, yoga, art and pottery studio materials,.  This retreat is limited to 12 individuals.  Optonal spa services and air fare are not inlcuded.  It is our intention to provide an accurate description of this retreat however the specific schedule and excursions may change as weather or other outside factors may dictate.  If a minimum of 4 registrations is not met the retreat may be cancelled however sleeping accomodations will still be provided for anyone who cannot cancel or change their flights.  

Suggested Packing list:

yoga pants & shirt, swim suit, hiking shoes, flip flops, warm sweater or hoody, comfortable and cool clothes, breathable long sleeve linen shirt and/or long sleeve UVA protection shirt, sun hat, pajamas, 2 forms of sunblock, toiletries, a blank journal and an insulated water bottle.  A backpack is recommended for day outings.
