In ancient times women went off to a tent or place of isolation with other women during their moon cycles. This meant that their normal chores and duties were carried out by others. They rested and we’re tended to. Food was brought to them. Their blood was collected and ceremoniously returned to the earth or used in other ceremonious ways.
Conscientious Objection
And sometimes doing what is right comes with repercussions and consequences. Which also should be weighed. The equation may work out that the consequence is too great. Or the belief is too strong no matter the consequence.

Jealousy my Spiritual Teacher
I remember being jealous of a perfect stranger - younger than me with a hand bag that cost more than I had in the bank at the time. I think she was in line ahead of me at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. When that feeling of jealousy welled up inside me it felt like - I hate her. But that didn’t make any sense.

Covid-19 Vaccine, or Not?
I’m not anti-vaccine but like antibiotics I think we should reserve their use to very limited situations - where they are really needed. And here we are in one of those really limited situations with a global pandemic and a deadly pathogen that may have lasting effects. This is the one time that I think we should all consider a vaccine. I might also consider a vaccine if I was traveling to a country where it was recommended for a very specific risk.

The Moon
The moon in this way, with its magnetic quality and its arrows is the compass of our lives. Learning to read it is helpful. It’s a multi- tool in our tool box that we need. A reflector of light, a magnet for a mate, and a compass showing us the direction in the night. Without it we would be lost, ungrounded. Like a balancing pendulum keeping our core from going too far in any one direction- it is the weight that pulls us back to center. The moon.
